Maybe not all of you know that, unlike the occidental ones usually dedicated to the kids, most of the Japanese cartoons are for a more adult public and in fact the protagonists of many of the most popular Japanese serials are teenagers or young adults. In Japan, the anime have taken the place that, in the western culture, is reserved to the TV-serials: with the animation they realized mainly products for teenagers or adults. But let's talk clear! On the whole, the anime are a way of communication as the TV or the cinema and so they're not actually just for kids or adults.
But, why, when this anime come to Italy, with the excuse to make them more suitable for kids, are they distorted, censured, cut and reedit, without considering the wide share of adult fans who watch them? Often the Japanese cartoons are accused to be violent or pornographic or not instructive, but this is not true! In fact they transmit very important values: friendship, team work, the capacity to don't give up but face the misfortune, self control and the need to not judge by appearances, all the typical values of the Japanese culture that are surely not negative or not instructive. Why do I keep to reaffirm this? Because before the images of the music video start, Paolo launches an alarm.. and I prey you to pay attention because it is something still valid also nowadays...
And we have to thank our friend Paolo "Bardock" Gatelli if today this page exists... it has been him with his music video "My Generation" to push me to... remember... get back in time and prepare this special! The first time I watched his music video... as the seconds elapsed, the smile that since the first moment had appeared on my face got bigger and bigger... till it covered my whole face... in three words... I was Happy! ^___^
And the music by Limp Bizkit, that this time finds its expression in the song "My Generation", seems to be written just for Paolo's music video.... By the way perfect for technique! I saw again characters I though lost in my memories and they, emerging in my mind together with old memories, took my hand and brought with them... I want to thank Paolo for making me live four of the most intense minutes of my life with his brilliant (and maybe a little bit melancholy...) music video and... and... download it 'cause there are no words to explain... it was already hard for me to find these! ^__^
