Dragon Ball was born in the far-off year of 1984 as a comic strip in Weekly Shonen Jump #51. But look at how much stuff came out from that simple strip... The manga volumes, TV series, videogames, calendars, cards, movies, GT series and every type of gadget! Dragon Ball Arena always tried to give you more info about Akira Toriyama's work! So a special section dedicated to "DB guides" could not be missing: they will reveal all Dragon Ball mysteries starting from those little pearls of wisdom, the Daizenshuu, until reaching the two recent Dragonball LANDMARK and Dragonball FOREVER, published by Shueisha Inc. to celebrate the new Japanese DB release. This latest version of the manga, Dragonball Perfect Edition, is composed by 34 volumes (Kanzenban), with new red covers and a new four-page, full-color ending drawn by Akira Toriyama himself!

Paperback: 256 pages.

Contents: volume with coloured removable glossy cover, monochromatic blue inner cover and occidental reading direction, it starts with an illustrated coloured prologue dedicated to the events of the first DB series. Then there are 7 main sections, all related to Z series, but a few references to the previous series aren't missing. The first section, titled SON GOKOU IN Z, collects some several parts dedicated to Goku's evolution, meant as his growth, to his ability, personality, battles, families and friends. Very interesting is the "evolution" part that shows Goku's age at the main events in his life: since he was 0, when he's sent to Earth, to 12 years when he meets Bulma, to 18 when he marries Chichi, to 24 when he turns Super Saiyan, till to 47 at the end of DBZ series.
The next three sections are called THE SUPER BATTLE IN Z - Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 and show the main battles with some nice pictures from the footage of Z series, movies and specials. Part 3 final pages give a brief description of the enemy characters in DBZ, starting from Raditz and Saiyans (including King Vegeta and Bardock & Co.) till Majin Buu, Babidi and his henchmen. The last three section of this book, all with black and white pages, are titled THE SECRET IN Z, CHARACTER IN Z and THE ALL STORIES IN Z. This last contains the list of all DBZ episodes and movies airing dates. Before the book ends, there is a sealed page with a nice surprise: some Dragon Ball stickers showing characters and logos.

This page was made in appreciation of Akira Toriyama's work and is promoting it to viewers everywhere.
