IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE... NEVER FORGET THEM...

One bright regular morning, Vegeta went out to train. He thought to himself 'well isn't today just another plain, old, and ordinary day?' While outside, he felt a strange presence... not knowing (And not caring for that matter) he decided to continue his training.

Trunks stepped outside and said "Hey Dad! I'll be gone for a little bit... be back later!"

"What ever! Go a---" before he could finish his sentence something (Rather Someone) hit him with a Ki Blast. As he got up, the dust cleared. A strange, still shadowed figure stood before him. Whoever it was, he was just as tall as Vegeta was. The strange man stepped out of the dust. But, before Vegeta had a chance to gasp at whom he saw, the man hit Vegeta in the side of the neck and knocked him out.

"HEY! AND JUST WHO IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Trunks blurted out.

"Leave me to my duty." The man flew off, taking Vegeta with him. "Well, I finally found you, Vegeta." The man was talking to himself seeing as Vegeta was out cold. "Looks like you'll have your own kingdom now. You shall be crowned the king of the regenerated Planet Vegeta in a matter of days!"

"DAMN!" Trunks knew that he couldn't keep up with the strange man and decided to tell Bulma what happened. "MOM!"

"Yes?" She replied.

"Uh... could I talk to you... in private for a moment as not to upset Bulla?"

"Very specific but... sure. What's on your mind, dear?"

"I was outside telling Dad something and...uh... how do I put this accurately... (Say this next part really, really fast!) Dad was beat up and taken by some guy."

"Oh dear God... WHY ME! UGH! Did you get a good look?"

"Yeah, the guy that took him looked exactly like dad, except the fact was, the guy had a beard lookin' thing."

Nobody knew that Bulla was sitting on the stairway, listening to every word they were saying.

"Mommy? Where's Daddy?"

"Uh-oh" Trunks said that under his breath. "Mom... I think she was sitting there the whole ENTIRE time..."

"Who took Daddy?" She sat there and tears started to gather in her eyes until they finally burst onto her face. Seeing as she was only 4, she didn't know any better than to cry in such a situation. She ran to her room, slammed the door behind her, and sat on her bed. Tears ran down her cheek as if it was a waterfall.

"Trunks, gather a search party and go find him... I have to go comfort your sister."

"You read me like a book, mom." Trunks had a small unhappy smile on his face. He knew that this could be a highly difficult search... but he was DESPERATE. He called Goten and told him the situation and to bring Goku and Gohan along too. That's exactly what happened.

MEANWHILE... When Vegeta woke up he found himself lying on a bed. Seeing as his neck was still sore from the hit he took, he didn't get up. He looked around from where he lay and thought 'where have I seen this place before? It looks so eerily familiar...but why?' He looked to his left and saw whom he never in his wildest dreams thought he would see again...

"How's life been treating ya, son?" It was hard for Vegeta to believe but that was HIS father, KING Vegeta!

"What the HELL am I doin' HERE?! And WHERE the hell am I?" Vegeta screamed still lying on the bed looking up at his Dad.

"In this order: You are recuperating from the hit you took, and you are in a spaceship headed home."
Vegeta couldn't understand what his father meant by 'headed home' He thought to himself 'what the hell? I AM home. Geez, I think you would've realized that by now!' Vegeta didn't get up or try to resist...after all...he could trust his own dad... couldn't he?

MEANWHILE... "Okay, guys. Yall ready for this?"

Goku, Gohan, and Goten said together, "YEAH!"

"5...4...3...2...1... And we have lift off" They were all headed in the direction of which the spaceship they saw was headed. They followed close enough so that it wouldn't show up on the opposing ship's radar. When they had followed, they could see a small planet up ahead. The other ship landed there, so they landed there as well. They landed a good distance away. But, when they stepped out of the ship, they heard the sound of faded cheering and yelling.

"Hey...Trunks? Where in Davey Jones' Locker are we?" Goten asked.

"Let me type in the coordinates... Holy crap!"

"WHAT?" The other three said loudly.

"It says... Planet... VEGETA!" Trunks yelled in absolute shock. "Hey, guys, what'd ya say if we took the grand tour of this place?" Trunks had a big smirk on his face. They knew what Trunks meant... Vegeta had mentioned before that he was a Prince and lived in a huge palace. Trunks and the guys were going to break in.

MEANWHILE... The King stepped out of the ship and walked down the path that was split as if it were Moses and Red Sea (except with people). Vegeta, not really knowing WHAT to do, peeked his head out and just about fell over. He stepped out and followed his father. He was soon joined by two familiar faces: Raditz and Nappa.

"What's going on?" Vegeta asked not knowing what to think.

"You're back...and so we decided to put on the galaxy's biggest celebration!" Raditz claimed.

Vegeta was still confused about being taken from Earth. But, he was still happy to see people he used to know so long ago, now. As he walked by the rows of people, he thought 'But what about Bulma and the others? What will become of them?' He knew that he had family that cared for him here and on Earth. He had to decide...his kingdom...or the family he had worked so hard to make successful? He forgot about it after awhile. He tried to focus on the positive things about being there: No worries, no cares, people on hand and foot for him, he hardly had to get up much. When he had told the servants that he could do something himself, they wouldn't let him...they STILL did it (whatever the favor might be).

"Go shower off," Said Vegeta's father, "I have something to show you later."

Vegeta wondered what his father possibly could have in store for him. As he showered, he looked around and thought 'well, it's not as bad as I thought it would be coming here. But what is this "surprise" he has for me?'

An endless array of thoughts came to his mind. The more he thought about it, the more his heart withered. He kept on thinking about his wife, his son, but a lot about his 4-year-old daughter. He knew that she would be wondering where he is and why he isn't there. To her, he's always been there. His heart sank. He felt as if his father had taken a gun, put it to his heart, and shot him. He felt a deep emptiness inside of him. He turned off the water, grabbed a towel, dried off, and wrapped it around his waist. He felt as if he were 5 again. Walking through the palace in his towel like he used to. He went to his room to see that nothing had changed since the last time he was there. He looked in his closet where he kept all that was valuable to him. He reached on the top shelf and saw the necklace his father used to wear all the time. He put it back and closed the closet door. He changed into his clothes, went downstairs, and sat on the couch eagerly anticipating his father's "surprise". He thought more about it... though he tried not to. His palms were sweating. He was nervous about the thing his father was going to show him whatever it might be. He lies there for what seemed like an hour, though it had only been 10 minutes. Finally, he heard footsteps slowly getting louder with each step. He sat up, turned around, and saw that it was his father.

"C'mon. Let's go." He said that without even looking at Vegeta. He got up off the couch and followed. They walked into a hallway that looked as if it were many stories tall. As they approached the room where the "surprise" was, he felt his stomach churn in sickness. The anticipation was so intense, that he felt as if he were going to vomit. He walked next to the wall, so that if he were to fall over, the wall would break the fall a little bit. His father reached for the doorknob, which looked like it was made of pure gold. Vegeta felt as sick as ever.

MEANWHILE... "Okay guys! This is the place!" They were so excited that they were actually able to see the place where Vegeta had grown up as a kid.

"Uh... Trunks? Just how are we supposed to get through the "security checkpoint" at the entrance?" There were two guards at the entrance. They looked really big and tough from that distance.

"Oh...Uh...HEY! Don't look at me!" He knew that these guards were full Saiyans but, he, Goten, and Gohan weren't. He knew that they might have to fight to get in. But he remembered that they could turn Super Saiyan. They walked towards the palace, the guards became aware of their presence. They turned around and glared at them.

"Uh-Oh... Nappa, we have familiar company!" Raditz said worryingly.

"Oh great! He brought friends this time!" Nappa claimed.

"Hey... Uh... Long time no see?" Goku said nervously.

Neither Nappa nor Raditz said anything. They just looked at Goku and company and frowned.

"Uh... I'm looking for someone you call the "Prince of the Saiyans"... Goes by the name of Vegeta... Yeah... uh... he's my dad and uh... we thought we could pay a visit..." Trunks stated.

Nappa and Raditz looked at each other for a brief moment, their faces turned red with the laughter they held in...They eventually fell on the floor and laughed their Asses off.

"Look, kid, Vegeta doesn't have any offspring of his own. You better amscray. Unless you can prove it to us, we won't let you through." Raditz seemed very serious with what he had said.

"Ugh... Look, this is Trunks. This is Vegeta's firstborn. Then back on Earth, there's Bulla; his daughter." With that the two of them laughed harder than ever.

"Yeah! Right Kakkarot! Sure, we CAN imagine Vegeta with a little girl sitting up on his shoulders! AS IF!!!" Raditz could hardly say his sentence clear without the laughter getting in his way. Goku had all he could stand. They had come there to get Vegeta back. Now, it's turned into ROFLMAO (Rollin' On the Floor Laughin' My Ass Off) Day! Goku then powered up to SS3. That's when the laughter stopped. The rest of the guys decided to turn Super Saiyan also. Nappa and Raditz nervously let them in. Apparently, they had scared the two goons. They walked in and were amazed by what they saw.

"DUDE! VEGETA ACTUALLY LIVED HERE?!" Goku said loudly.

"SHHHHHHH!" The three of them scowled.

MEANWHILE... Vegeta felt his heart pounding in his chest. It pounded so hard and so fast that it felt like it would explode. He felt his hands shake as they dangled in the air. He felt his knees get weak. He was feeling as if his body would collapse on the floor at any minute. His father turned the doorknob. Vegeta felt as if he would die, the suspense was killing him inside. He never felt this way before. Maybe because it was his father who issued the "surprise". He didn't truly know why he felt so dead all of a sudden. His arms then went numb. He knew that if his legs went numb as well, he would surly fall to the floor. He leaned against the wall so he would be able to calm down for a second or two. His father opened the door. Vegeta wanted to roll his eyes into his head and pretend he wasn't there. But he couldn't, it was too late to turn back. They entered the room that was completely pitch black. Vegeta couldn't see anything. Then he heard a click. A light turned on. Too used to the darkness, he shielded his eyes. He looked and saw a woman with long, thick black hair. He thought for a moment. A faint memory passed through his mind. He saw that woman. That memory was of him and his mother.

"Holy...shit..."

MEANWHILE... "Wow! Look at this place! I don't see how Vegeta never got lost in here!" Gohan said in amazement. They saw a hallway in which they saw a door cracked. "Hey guys! I think it's this way." They followed Gohan into the room at the end of the hallway to see that it was Vegeta's room.

"WHOA! Is this HIS ROOM?" Asked Goten.

"I guess." Thought Gohan aloud.

"It's AWESOME! No wonder he wanted to go home when we first met him!" Said Goku.

"Hey! Come look at this!" Said Trunks as he took down the necklace off the top shelf of Vegeta's closet.

"What is it? A necklace? I could never see Vegeta wearing a necklace!" Goku stated.

"C'mon guys. Remember, we're here for Vegeta... not his material possessions!" Gohan reminded them. They left the room. But Trunks took Vegeta's necklace and put it on. It made him feel different... It made him feel as if he WERE Vegeta. It made him feel like he was walking in his father's shoes. When they went back into the main room, they saw another hallway. One of the guards was lurking around until he saw them. He walked towards them. They stood there so frightened that they couldn't move. But, they DID hide behind Goku. Goku had to stand bravely or it would show weakness to the enemy. As the guard got closer, everyone looked at him. The expressions on their faces were both frightened and puzzled all at the same time. The guard looked so similar to Goku. The only differences were he had a bandanna, a tail, a scouter, and different clothes. If he were to wear what Goku was wearing, there'd be no difference.

"Kakkarot--err...Goku! Take him down!" Trunks shuddered at the fact he said Goku's real name.

"KAKKAROT?!?!" Said the guard. "Is that YOU?"

"HUH?!" They all looked at the guard then at Goku. They alternated their views between Goku and the Guard.

Trunks whispered to the others "Hey...the guy who took Dad looked like my Dad. This guy looks like Goku. That brings me to the conclusion that Goku and this "guard" is related somehow. That means the guy who took my Dad must be related to my dad!"

"Huh?" Gohan and Goten looked confused.

"Well...Kakkarot...Uh...Long time no see... I guess." Said the guard.

"What do you mean? I don't even know you!" Said Goku.

"Oh... well... I'm Bardock," he said holding his hand out waiting for Goku to shake.

"Yeah...AND?" Goku shook his hand but didn't get the point.

"You see NO resemblance? None whatsoever?" He looked at Goku in shock. "I'M YOUR DAD YOU IDIOT!"

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The four of them screamed in horror. Bardock covered his ears, hoping he wouldn't go def.

"YOU CAN SHUTUP NOW!" Bardock's voice boomed compared to the four of them.

MEANWHILE... "I'll leave," Vegeta's father left the room. Vegeta felt confused. He had so many things to ask her though. So many things he had wondered through childhood and still wondered today. He wanted to know so much about her. He never thought he would ever see his actual mother.

"Well... how's life? Where have you been all this time?" She was the one asking the questions now.

He simply replied "In order: Good, and Earth."

"Why Earth of all places?"

"Well... My wife and kids live there..."

"UH..."

"Uh...what?"

"Nothing... forget I said anything" She acted worried and nervous at the same time.

"No. Really... What?"

"It's really nothing..."

"Ugh...C'MON! TELL ME!"

"Fine...it's just that... you broke a family law..."

"A FAMILY WHAT! WHO'S THE FUCKING DUMBASS WHO CAME UP WITH THAT LOAD OF SHIT?!?!?"

"That would be your father"

"Oh...oops. Anyway, what's the law?"

"You can't...(again, say it quickly)...Marry or have offspring with a different race."

"(With sarcasm) Oh I'm sooooooooo scared of the big scary law!"

"You should be," she warned him. He felt a sudden panic shiver up his spine.

"Oh yeah!" He hid his fear of what might happen by acting like he didn't care. "What could possibly happen?"

"Well... we'd have to dispose of your offspring and the one who bared them..."

"Wh--WHAT?! No! YOU CAN'T! I WON'T LET YOU!" He changed his thoughts. Mental images ran through his mind... each one more disturbing than the last. "Why? Why would you do that?" His voice was no longer filled with anger but with sorrow. His heart came up to his throat.

"It's for your own good, Vegeta. We love you too much to let you be in harm's way."

He fell on his knees and cried. "IF YOU LOVE ME SO MUCH, THEN WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL ALL THAT I HAVE LEFT?! IF YOU LOVE ME, THEN YOU'LL LEAVE THEM ALONE!" His head dropped into his hands. He was too afraid and disgusted to even look at her. He thought to himself 'Why would she do this to her only child? That I can't understand... why? She of all people should be happy for me.'

"Vegeta, just because I have to, doesn't mean I want to." He looked up. He ran his fingers through his hair. He said nothing to her for a long period of time. He didn't want to. He felt it impossible to say anything at all.

"Then DON'T!" He screamed at her. He cursed under his breath. Feeling weak and hopeless, he left the room and didn't look back. He went to his room without Goku and company noticing. Vegeta didn't see them. When he gets to his room, he falls on the bed and tries to sleep... he lay there...alone. He couldn't think about anything but what words had come out of his mother's mouth. The sentences repeated over and over again in his head. Each time he felt like killing himself. The fact that this law was in order disturbed him deeply. He thought he felt his heart sink again. He tried to think of something else but he couldn't. It was a thought so deeply disturbing that it could not be erased from his memory...ever. He heard a knock on the door.

"WHAT?!" he yelled through the pillow that he put over his face. Somehow, his mother also had managed to slink across the den and into his room.

"Look..." She sat on his bed. "I know your family means the world to you."

"What's the point if you're just going to kill them anyway?" He still had the pillow covering his face.

She continued, "And that's why... I would have no intentions of hurting them..." Vegeta, surprised by her words, didn't know how to react. The way she said that was eerily soothing and put him at ease. He almost immediately fell asleep. As he slept, she sat there and thought about how when he was little, how calm he was in his slumber. She stroked his cheek with her hand, kissed him on the forehead as she did when he was little, and left for her room. As she walked across the den, she noticed a boy with purple hair. He looked somewhat like Vegeta and was half-Saiyan. She walked up to the group while they were talking to Bardock.

"May I be of any assistance to you all?" She asked.

"Yeah. Where's my Dad?" Trunks said that with both anger and concern.

"Who?" She already knew the answer but played along with it anyway.

"His name is Vegeta."

"He's sleeping right now. Don't bother him."

The four of them looked exhausted.

"But, if you want to you can see him tomorrow. But, while you're here, may I offer you a room?"

"Yeah...*YAWN* I'm gettin' tired guys." Goku said lazily.

"Goku, you're always tired." Trunks pointed out the obvious.

"Pick a room. Just not the ones at the end of the halls." And with that they all found a room.

A little later, everyone was asleep...except Trunks. He knew that his Dad was just at the end of the hallway. He got up out of his bed and crept past the other rooms. He finally reached Vegeta's room. He silently cracked the door. He tiptoed in until he was standing next to Vegeta's bed. Vegeta stirred through his slumber. Trunks still stand there... empty minded. He looked at the necklace that didn't belong to him... but to his Dad. Trunks decided to put it back on the shelf where he found it. He didn't have any current thoughts. He sat against the drawer that was placed adjacent to the bed. He looked and as Vegeta was sleeping, Trunks noticed a grin on Vegeta's face. Trunks could see how happy he was here. He looked around and it was obvious why. He sighed and had a final thought as he exited the room: 'He's happy here. We shouldn't be interfering. He has nothing to worry about here. He has nothing to care about. If this is what he wants...then...I'll go with it.' And with that, he went back to his room. He closed the door behind him as he entered his room. He leaned against the door and put his hands over his face. He felt like crying but held it in. He bit his lip so hard that it felt like it would break the skin. He sat on his bed and stared at the floor. He sat there for a good amount of time. He fell asleep a little while later.

Vegeta was the first up that morning. He heard snoring coming from a room. He ignored it and went into the kitchen. Once again, the servants wouldn't let him do anything but sit at the table. They did the chore of making breakfast for him. About a half-hour later, he finished. He sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling. Footsteps came down one of the halls. Again, he ignored it. He lies there on the couch staring at the ceiling. Goku saw that Vegeta was over there and decided to give Vegeta his daily scare. He crept up behind the couch like a cat...silently. Vegeta had no clue that Goku was there.

"BOO!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Vegeta screamed thinking that it was Bardock. He fell off the couch and onto the hard floor. "DEAR GOD! DON'T DO THAT, BARDOCK!"

"Huh? Vegeta I'm not Bardock... the guy over there is." He pointed at Bardock and Bardock waved back.

"Then... You're... KAKKAROT! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE?!"

"Long story that I'm willing to tell you... It all started--" Vegeta stopped Goku by covering his face with a pillow.

"I'll pass on that offer," He barked. "Who the hell is here with you? Knowing you Kakkarot, you always bring someone with you."

"Well, you actually guessed it. I brought Gohan, Goten, and..."

"Yes?" he said anxiously.

"Trunks." With that, Vegeta's jaw dropped. He thought it would have been Krillen, or Piccolo, or Tien, or Yamcha. But it was Trunks.

"Which room is he in?" Vegeta barked another command.

"Geez! He's in the one closest to your room. Why?" Goku seemed dumbfounded by Vegeta's question. With that being Goku's answer, he walked off. "Man! Won't even answer me!"

"He tends to be like that," Vegeta's father walked in the room.

"HOLY CRAP! Who are you?" Goku, once again dumbfounded, asked.

"I am Vegeta's father," he said plainly.

"Whoa! No explanation there! I can see the resemblance!" Goku had seemed very surprised even though practically everyone in the entire universe knew that. "Can't tell the difference between the two of you! If you shaved off that beard, you'd look just like Vegeta!"

"Well, as much as I would like to keep it to myself, my name is Vegeta as well." With that Goku chuckled to himself. "What? Is there something funny that I missed? A joke perhaps?"

"No! Nothing..." Goku laughed under his breath again.

MEANWHILE... Vegeta crept into Trunks' room. As Vegeta did when he was sleeping last-night, Trunks had a pillow over his face. Vegeta decided to stand there for a moment and admire from a distance. He thought about how much Trunks had grown up and how things used to be. Trunks would always get into trouble somehow. Vegeta always had to sort out the messes Trunks got himself entwined in. He laughed a little bit. He decided to leave Trunks to his sleep that Vegeta knew he needed so badly. When he stepped out Goten had just walked out of his room.

"Hey, Vegeta!" Goten was actually happy to see Vegeta for once.

"Oh, don't you seem happy-go-jolly today?" He knew Goten wasn't very fond of him so Vegeta walked off. As he walked by a door hit him in the face. It was Gohan. "OH! ERRR... GOD! DAMN THAT SMARTS!"

Gohan put his hand behind his head and looked at Vegeta with an unsure grin and laughed nervously. "Sorry, Vegeta! Didn't see ya there!"

"Naw... REALLY?! You JUST opened the door and slammed me in the face for no apparent reason! Really Gohan..." Vegeta walked off with his hand on his forehead. "GOD! That hurt!" He said under his breath.

"Attitude problem..." Goten said to Gohan.

"Yep."

MEANWHILE ON EARTH... Bulma didn't feel right that day. She thought to herself 'I have a gut feeling that something is going to go wrong. I just can't imagine what though. It's a bottomless pit of possibilities. There's just too much stress... and too much to think about. I wonder if he's thinking of us right now... wherever he might be... I need to think about something else... get my mind off him. With that, she went in the den and watched TV for about an hour and fell asleep. She heard her name being called by someone. She had a falling feeling and jerked awake. She saw Bulla standing there still in PJ's. She looked as if she had been awake all night.

"Hey, little bits. You don't look like you slept well last-night." She said to Bulla.

"I didn't sleep at all last-night, mommy."

"Why?"

"I kept on having nightmares."

"Oh... Are you still worried about Daddy?"

Tears swelled in her eyes again as they did yesterday. "Uh-huh." Bulma hugged her and sat her up in her lap.

"Look, you're not the only one worried about Daddy. I am too. Daddy will be okay."

"Where is he?" She asked looking up at Bulma with big eyes. She thought for a second.

"I don't know."

MEANWHILE BACK ON PLANET VEGETA... "Let's eat!" said Vegeta's father. Vegeta went and sat on the couch seeing as he already ate. He longed to go back home but at the same time he wanted to stay here. People he knew so long ago are back... and people he's known practically all his life were anxiously awaiting his return to Earth. He again thought about Bulla and how she must feel. He swallowed hard trying to decide what to do. He didn't know what to do. He had no feelings to match the situation... just emptiness. He could feel a darkness falling over him. A darkness that had once before fallen over him before. He walked to his room, and as he did they all stared at him. He was both filled with hatred and sorrow. Vegeta took off the clothes he had, put on a jumpsuit and armor, took the necklace off the top shelf, put it on and left his room. He walked out into the den. As he started putting his gloves on, everyone stared at him again.

"I'm going out for a while... I'll be back sometime later today." With that he walked toward the exit and left. He saw Raditz and Nappa. He decided to join them. "Hey."

"What's up?" Raditz responded quickly. He and Nappa were training. But, once Raditz turned his head to look at Vegeta, Nappa hit him in the stomach.

"Raditz... you leave yourself so vulnerable." Nappa and Vegeta started to laugh.

"I know I'm the main attraction, Raditz, but, you don't have to stare at me every second." They laughed even harder that time.

"Shut up, guys! It's not that funny." He sat on the ground holding his stomach. "If I didn't have this armor on, it would have hurt worse."

Vegeta bent down on one knee so he could meet Raditz face to face. "Raditz, if you didn't have that armor on, he would've kicked you square in the nuts!" With that comment being made, Nappa and Vegeta were practically in tears from all the laughter. "Well, who wants to go kill something?" All three of them raised their hand. "Majority rules... but... what to kill?" They stood and thought...

"Ooh! Ooh! I have an idea," Raditz blurted. "How about a bunny?" Nappa and Vegeta looked at each other, then Raditz. They didn't agree.

"I have an idea. How about a planet?" Nappa suggested.

"NO!" The both of them shouted.

"Why?" Nappa asked.

"Look, that was why we were the most hated race in the universe! We destroyed planets!" Vegeta barked.

"Oh... never thought of it like that..." They went on thinking of what they could do.

"IT'S BRILLIANT! We could have target practice! I'll shoot something with a Ki blast and you guys try to hit it in the exact same spot!"

"Seeing as it's a good idea... how about that tree over there?" Raditz pointed. Vegeta thought Raditz was too soft. But they hit the tree anyway. Vegeta thought to himself 'my mother in law would love Raditz to pieces. And THAT is scary.'

MEANWHILE... Everyone had finished eating and relaxed in the den. "So, who are you guys and how'd you end up here?" Vegeta's father asked those questions as if he hated them all.

"Well, I'm Trunks, that's Goku, Gohan, and Goten," he pointed towards each one of them. King Vegeta gave them an indefinite look. He noticed that Gohan and Goten looked as if they were related to Goku. Then he looked at Trunks, he couldn't see any resemblance at all. He ignored it as if it were nothing.

"Ah...So I see. But, now that I know your names, WHO are you? Family-wise."

"Uh... The three of them are family, and I'm Vegeta's first child." He explained.

King Vegeta swallowed hard. He didn't realize that THIS (Referring to Trunks) was part of Vegeta's family. He felt his stomach twist and turn in sickness. He had no clue WHAT to think. 'This kid is Vegeta's son? How pathetic! He doesn't have a very high power level...or does he?' He had kept that thought in his head. He KNEW the law. Kill Trunks and the rest of his family except Vegeta. 'But, do I have the guts to do this? Can I REALLY do it? Can I kill Vegeta's first child and whoever else there might be?' "Excuse me for a moment," He walked out of the room and headed towards the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror. He had NO IDEA what to do next. He wanted so badly to tell Trunks and the rest of them the law. But he hadn't the guts to. He looked himself in the eyes and felt terrible. He couldn't stand to look at himself anymore. He had forgotten the reason he made that a law. He felt a deep sorrow within him. But, he knew what he had to do.

As he walked back into the den, he cursed under his breath. He walked back in and stood in front of Trunks. He held his hand out. Trunks could feel an energy increase in the room. His senses told him to move but he was paralyzed in fear of what was going to happen. The increase pointed directly at King Vegeta. A bright ball of energy sat in King Vegeta's hand directed at Trunks' face. None of the others could do anything at this point. Trunks had come looking for his Dad but ultimately it leads him to see that they would never get him back. He was face to face with death. Out of the blue, Vegeta walked in.

"WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING DAD?!" He shouted in horror in seeing that his father was going to kill Trunks in a flash of light. "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!" He shouted again. He knew that his father wouldn't listen to him. Vegeta felt panic fall over him. Knowing his father wouldn't listen; he ran towards him and tackled him to the floor. "GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T KILL YOU!" Vegeta held his fist in the air just about to punch his father. He stood up and put his foot on his father's chest as to keep him pinned to the floor. He felt as angry as ever. He couldn't believe what was going on. He had images flash through his head. He wondered how the hell he got here, why he trusted them, why the guys were there, and how it this all going to end. He looked back down at his father in disgust.

"Well...Uh... It's the law," he said nervously.

"THE STUPID FUCKING LAW YOU MADE THAT MOTHER MENTIONED TO ME?!" he yelled. Tears swelled in his eyes. "Why? Why would you do this to me?" He took his foot off his father's chest and put his fist down. He looked down into his father's eyes. "Why?" As his father got up, Vegeta stepped back every time his father tried to get closer.

His father reached his hand out. "We did this for your safety... for YOUR sake."

Vegeta stepped back even farther. Tears rolling down his face, he stepped back until he was close to the hallway in which his room was located. He turned and ran. Trunks followed. King Vegeta felt different... he felt as if HE was the one who committed a crime. He had pushed his son over the edge. He felt as if he had fallen into a deep, yet endless hole... an endless hole of guilt that he could not stop from falling farther and farther into.

Vegeta threw his face into a pillow. He was extremely upset. "This is the second time I've felt this way!"

"Dad, why don't you just come back home?" Trunks looked at his father. He couldn't imagine his father had felt this way before. "If you've felt like this then just come home."

"Is that why you're here? To pester me?" He replied in a way that made Trunks feel bad.

"No, Dad... I'm here to take you home... where you need to be."

"*Sigh* I...I...Can't. I'm practically stuck here. There's no way back!"

"Yes, there is! Me, Goku, Gohan, and Goten got here by ship. It's not too far from here."

"What? You followed us?" He lifted his head out of the pillow.

"Yeah! I mean, do you think none of us care?"

"How far is the ship?" he answered Trunks' question with his own.

"About a mile away. We can fly there!" Trunks felt a sudden jolt of hope.

MEANWHILE BACK ON EARTH... Bulma had put Bulla down for a nap. She looked and noticed how sad Bulla looked. She cracked the door and went downstairs. She sat down at the table in the kitchen. She thought deeply about Vegeta. She closed her eyes and imagined he was still here. Memories from when they were first together slowly passed through her mind. She can still remember the way he kissed her...deeply...passionately. When he was around, she felt carefree. But he wasn't. Not only did she worry about Vegeta, she worried about Trunks too. She hoped that they were safe. She prayed they would return safely. As she thought more about Vegeta, the more she came to realize how much he loved her, regardless of what he ever said or the way he acted. She saw what she had never seen in him before...deep affections, deep compassionate love, and care for her that never ceased. She thought she would die if he didn't come back. ' He'll come back... he has to. He wouldn't forget about us. I know he wouldn't. He just can't' She sat there... alone, unaware of what was happening far away from the home she felt so safe in.

MEANWHILE... Later that night, the five of them snuck out of the palace.

"Ah, crap! I forgot something! I'll be right back!" He ran back in. Moments later he came back out. They didn't bother to ask what it was he forgot. `They needed to get out of there ASAP. But, a few minutes later, they felt a strange presence. They thought it might just be a random person. When they had the spaceship in view, the strange presence felt closer. They kept walking. They walked because they didn't want their presence to be detected by anyone. When they got closer they saw a shadowy figure. Once the dust cleared the strange figure became clear.

"DAD?! WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Vegeta sneered.

"You were going to leave...without saying a word? Well, I'm afraid I can't allow that to happen, dear boy." He held his hand up and the night sky surrounding them lit up like day. A ball of energy sat in his hand once again... This time directed at Vegeta. "If I can't have you...then NO ONE CAN!" Vegeta couldn't move at all. He was paralyzed out of his own will. The blast pierced through his stomach. He stood there, fell to his knees, and fell to the ground. Trunks rushed to his side. He wanted to kill that bastard. He wanted to get revenge. He had reached the final boiling point. He had all that he could handle. It was all or nothing at that moment. Trunks stood back up. He let out a cry that sent an echo through the midnight air. He lit the sky as if it were day. The yellow flames that engulfed his body made him feel powerful. He was. More powerful than King Vegeta had anticipated. He put the necklace that his father had on around his neck. He was put into Vegeta's shoes for a moment. He felt angry the same way as his father did before. It was as if the necklace made Trunks see what Vegeta had endured in his life. He knew that he had to get revenge. The way Vegeta felt earlier that day is how Trunks felt now. He felt like ripping through King Vegeta's flesh and ripping his heart out.

"I would rather die at my own hand than LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS! MOTHERFUCKER!" With that Trunks dashed at King Vegeta. His hands balled into fists. He lifted his fist, and the second that he reached his enemy's face he threw it. He hit him square in the stomach.

King Vegeta fell to the ground, holding his stomach, struggling to even breathe. The force of the punch had knocked the air out of him. Trunks had then turned around and walked towards where his father lay knocked unconscious. Trunks carried him the rest of the way.

No one spoke to him for the rest of the way there. Goku, Gohan, and Goten were astonished at the fact that Trunks could power up to such a powerful level. They were actually scared to talk to him, afraid he still might be angry. They got on the ship. The first thing they did was look for something to wrap Vegeta's wound with. They looked and couldn't find anything.

"Hey guys?" Goku interrupted the silence, "Do belts tied around your waist count?" Gohan, Goten, and Trunks looked at each other.

"YES!" The three of them shouted. Goku untied his belt and gave it to Trunks. Trunks slipped off Vegeta's armor then tied the belt around Vegeta so that it covered the wound completely. They took off. They knew that they wouldn't get back till dawn. So they would alternate piloting the ship in one-hour shifts. One person would pilot, one person would monitor Vegeta, the other two would sleep so that they would have the energy to pilot.

The next morning, they arrived. It was Goten's turn monitoring Vegeta. He had trouble picking him up so Trunks helped him. They knocked on the door. Bulma answered.

"Hey guys! What's up?" she said. Goku and Gohan were standing in front of Trunks and Goten who were still holding Vegeta, so Bulma didn't notice them. Gohan and Goku stepped out of the way so that she could see what had happened to Vegeta. She gasped in sight of her husband in such a condition. She looked behind her to make sure that Bulla wasn't around to see this. The coast was clear. "This way." She had pointed toward the room upstairs. "You have to be super-quiet when you pass by Bulla's room. She'll wake up if you don't. She has ears like a cat... She can hear everything. So... keep it shut." They walked up the stairs...quietly. They walked down the hall...quietly.

"Ah...Ah...AH-CHOO!" Everyone froze in their tracks and glared at Goku who sneezed. "Uh... Whoops?" They all walked faster so as to get out of the hall and into the room. When they reached the room, Goten and Trunks set Vegeta down on the bed. Bulma took off the belt that was covering the wound and was now covered in blood. She could hardly bear to look at the wound but she had to if she wanted to help him. She waited until Vegeta woke up which was about five hours later.

"Err... ahh..." He opened his eyes, "What the?" He looked beside him and it looked as it did many years ago when the Gravity Chamber blew up. This was the same room he laid in when he was hurt then. He looked on the other side of him and saw a highly familiar face: Bulma.

"Welcome back, Vegeta!" She smiled at him sweetly. He smiled back. She kissed him on the cheek and walked over to a table where she had all her medical equipment she was going to use. She took a washcloth and poured Hydrogen Peroxide on it. His eyes got big. He saw what was coming. "Hold still, this is going to hurt... a lot." With that he braced himself. Goku, Gohan, and Trunks were standing outside of the closed door. They listened.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Vegeta screamed in pain from the sting that the Peroxide created. The three of them that were outside the door felt the hairs on the back of their necks stand up straight. They tiptoed away only to see that when they turned around, standing there was Bulla.

"Uh-Oh..." Trunks whispered to them. They knew that if she saw what was going on she would get upset.

"What happened? I heard screaming." She said innocently.

"Uh... there was a uh... bug? Yeah! It was a cockroach! So we all screamed!" Goten said that thinking it would gross her out.

"You guys are stupid. Not even I'm afraid of bugs." The three of them looked at each other, then at Goten.

"Oops! Heh heh hee" Goten scratched his head nervously.

"See ya around, stupid-heads" She said that as if they weren't important to her life today.

Later that day, Vegeta was able to sit up. "OW!...OOOH!...OUCH!...HEY! YOU COULD BE A LITTLE GENTLER YA KNOW!" He griped and complained as Bulma wrapped his waist in bandage tape. "GOD! THAT FREAKIN' HURTS!"

"Well it DID come out the other side! If you haven't noticed that already!" She snapped back. He let her keep on putting it around his waist until she was finished. "Look, try to relax. Oh and Vegeta? Don't get up this time..." She smiled at him and he laughed. She shut the door behind herself so that Bulla wouldn't notice that Vegeta was in there. He fell asleep instantly.

Later, he heard the doorknob turn. He thought it would be Goku, coming in to bother him but he didn't hear boots on the floor...He heard little footsteps. The pitter-pattering on the floor got louder with each step. He turned his head to see the face he had longed to see for so long... his daughter. The fact that she was in there put him at ease.

"Daddy? Where were you?" She asked him. He looked at her sweet face and couldn't help but smile at her.

"A place far away from here." He told her.

"Why are you in bed?" She looked at him with big eyes.

"Well, I got into a fight when I was coming home and got hurt." He tried to keep it in the simplest words as not to confuse her. He picked her up from where he lay and sat her on the bed. She lie down next to him and fell asleep almost immediately. He looked at her. He couldn't imagine how she must have felt when he was gone. Her spirit was perky and happy, but she could tend to be sensitive. He lie there and fell asleep.

Later, Bulma walked in to check on him and saw her there too. She walked over and shook Vegeta's shoulder a little bit.

"Hey. Is she okay?"

"She didn't seem to take it like you think she would."

"I'll go put her to bed. It's late anyway." With that she picked Bulla up and took her back to her room. Vegeta laid there and dozed off a little bit... A few minutes later, Bulma walked back in. She sat next to him on the bed.

"Hey."

"...Huh? Oh! Dozed off. Sorry." They locked eyes. Vegeta sat up and they were intertwined in a deep kiss. This kiss could've lasted a full night if they had wanted it to but they cut it down to about two minutes. It didn't last long but it was deep. He wanted it to last longer so, as soon as they were done with that kiss, they indulged in another. This one lasted longer. They had been so happy to see each other even though it had only been two days. Maybe it may have just been the level of stress that pushed them to believe that two days felt like two years.

That night she had stayed there with him. Later, he got up out of the bed to see how bad the damage was to his stomach. He tried walking around a little. It numbed the pain. So, he went into Bulla's room and watched her sleep for a little while. He thought to himself 'She doesn't care if I hold her...when Trunks was little, he wouldn't let me come within three feet of him' Bulma was aware of Vegeta getting up out of his bed. She followed him into Bulla's room.

"Hey, I told you not to get up!" she scowled.

"Well, walking around numbs the pain. Besides, it's boring to just sit on your ass and do nothing all day but sleep."

"I know, Vegeta, but you NEED the rest."

"I know that." As he said that he felt sick. "Okay...err... I'll go back now." He went back to the room. He slept soundly that dark, moonlit night. Not a peep came from him.

The next morning, he was the last one up. He didn't feel well that morning, so he didn't go downstairs like he normally would. He turned back over on his side and tried to get back to sleep. The fact that he didn't feel well that day made him want to sleep. He slept a couple hours longer and woke up again. He still didn't feel well. He knew that something was wrong. Maybe he caught a cold or something while he was on Planet Vegeta. He went downstairs. He checked the clock it said 11:57am. He never before in his entire life had slept in this late. He usually woke up at 7:00am...

"Wow Vegeta! You slept in by about four hours!" Bulma claimed in surprise.

"What can I take to get rid of nauseous-ness? PLEASE tell me."

"You're not sick, dear. Its just stress." After she had said that he felt it go away. "While you were wherever you were, did you forget about us?"

"Bulma, if you love someone... NEVER forget them..."
